Jiiva’s Coffee with Kadhal Movie OTT Release Date: Amar Choudary, also known as Jiiva, is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He was born on January 4, 1984. He is R. B. Choudary’s youngest child and a film producer. In 1991, he made his acting debut as a young youngster in his father’s movies. He made his acting debut as the lead in Aasai Aasaiyai, his father’s 50th production (2003). Jiiva is the first Tamil actor to have won an award at the Cyprus International Film Festival after Sivaji Ganesan, especially for his role in Raam (2005).

The actor-turned-director Sundar C is back with a new film, Coffee with Kadhal, which stars a large cast of performers. The film, which is marketed as a rom-com, stars Jiiva, Srikanth, Jai, Malvika Sharma, and Amritha Aiyer among others in the key parts.

Sundar C. wrote and directed the 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy family drama film Coffee with Kadhal, which was produced by Khushbu, A. C. S. Arun Kumar, and A. C. Shanmugam under the banners of Avni Cinemax and Benzz Media (P) Ltd. Sundar C’s second collaboration with Jiiva and Jai follows the 2018 film Kalakalappu 2, and it is Sundar and Yuvan’s fourth collaboration after Unakkaga Ellam Unakkaga, Rishi, and Winner. For 75 days, it was shot extensively across Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, but primarily in Ooty. The film was supposed to be released in theatres in July 2022, but it was delayed due to post-production issues. Coffee with Kadhal was released in theatres on November 4, 2022, to mixed reviews from critics and audiences.

The plot revolves around a family of three brothers and a sister. The eldest son is very responsible and emulates his father. The other two sons are no longer bound. The rest of the film is about their family’s ups and downs.

K Selva Bharathy wrote the dialogues for the film, which was edited by Fenny Oliver and shot by E Krishnasamy. The film was co-financed by Avni Cinemax and Benzz Media, and it will compete with Love Today and Nitham Oru Vaanam at the box office tomorrow. Sundar C’s previous film, Aranmanai 3, was also released in theatres last year and had its post-theatrical OTT premiere on Zee5. This is the director’s second time bringing Jiiva and Jai together for a film. The pair first appeared together on screen in Kalakalappu 2, which was released in 2018. 

Coffee With Kadhal is the final film made by veteran actor-filmmaker Prathap Pothen, who died a few months ago. The film was supposed to be released on October 7, but the box office performance of Ponniyin Selvan 1 forced the makers to change their plans.
